The Provincial Council successfully completes the cross-border electronic identification project
The Provincial Council of Ourense, through the Transparency and Open Government Area, successfully completed the "eID4Spain20" project, which aims to facilitate access to all citizens and companies of the European Union to access the digital public services offered by the provincial institution and which successfully concluded this month. More information at Deputación de Ourense's website.
The action will help Spain to meet the requirements of the eIDAS Regulation and will facilitate access to Spanish electronic public services for all EU citizens and companies using their national electronic ID. Since the first requirement to access an electronic site is the identification of the user, the Provincial Council of Ourense is working on the progressive updating of all the procedures that can be carried out telematically, so that both citizens and companies of the European Union can use their national electronic ID to access the same services as Spanish citizens.
Likewise, work continues not only to provide a greater number of services accessible through electronic channels, but also to make them more accessible and user-friendly. The European Commission's European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is co-funding this project through the CEF Telecom programme. After 18 months of work, a project validation meeting took place last week and approved the provincial government's implementation of the project.
